Facowie Lodge is a two-unit vacation rental property nestled in the woods of Northern Minnesota near Crane Lake. The owner contacted me for emergency help with his website. His previous domain had expired and he had lost his entire site. After attempting to contact other web design companies and family members for help, with no luck, he had been without a site for nearly a year. This was detrimental to his online bookings as nearly all reservations had previously come through his website.
After some research, we were able to identify what had happened to the site. We secured a new domain name, and I built and launched a brand new site in a month, to get him back online in time for the busy summer vacation season. The new Facowie Lodge online presence features an updated, mobile friendly design, filtered photo gallery, and an integrated feed from the lodge’s VRBO and Airbnb booking calendars.
In addition, I designed a new logo to go with the new site design. He was unhappy with his previous logo. The re-branding of the lodge with the new website was a perfect time to unveil a new brand identity with a refreshed logo. This brand identity was carried over into his marketing materials and social media presence.
