Little Sand Group Home is a licensed specialized residential setting providing out-of-home care to at-risk adolescent biological females ages 11-17. They utilize a trauma-informed model of care, striving to provide a family-living environment for stability, healing, and growth. Their programs include therapeutic, psychological, psychiatric, and substance use disorder treatment, an on-site alternative school, group therapy, classes on crisis management, independent living, and child trafficking and exploitation, and individualized treatment plans. The group home consists of two separate homes on Little Sand Lake in Remer, Minnesota.
Little Sand had an existing website, but it was outdated and needed a “face lift”. They also had a new logo they wanted to incorporate into the site design. They wanted a site that was visually engaging and inspired by the beauty of the lake and nature around the home, utilizing the blue and green colors of the new logo. The goal of the new site was to showcase the programs they offer in a colorful and engaging way that also evokes the beauty and serenity of their surroundings.
What an honor to be part of this project! This is a much-needed resource for young girls, and what Little Sand Group Home provides is invaluable and life-altering. The team was fantastic to work with, and made this site a “joy” to work on from start to finish.
